Big Work on the Easel

Full sheet of La Carte pastel card on the easel. Can I have a cookie now?

Kasey, you're a freakin' genius.

Okay, Tina, but I still want the cookie.

Well...Kasey, geniuses are allowed to have a few cookies for a job well done. I envision that piece you just did in a very well decorated dining room as a conversation piece. It's exquisite.

You are too kind! I will try to make that happen, now that you have envisioned it. I like it a lot.

I spelled your name wrong. Casey, (grabbing lapels and shaking you)you are so damn underrated it's not funny. You need a New York agent that can get you into the big galleries and museums. I don't think you "get" who and what you really are. You "like it a lot"? It's another stellar piece from Casey Klahn. I've wanted to tell you this for a long time, now, and I'm just going to say it... your work blows the doors off of Wolfe Kahns'. There, I said it. And I'm never taking it back. I know genius when I see it, and I never tell anyone they're genius when they're not. Get in the big league, Casey. Get in the big league.

I feel properly shaken. You are kind, Tina.

Let's see, now. Where to go from here?

Not sure the agents even exist any more. Seems like we're on our own these days.

I do feel like my art has something different to say, Which is a rich place to be, IMHO. Very thankful for your comments!

Go for the high-end galleries and high-end restaurants in places like New York. That pastel you just did would knock their socks off.
